Machu Picchu

Getting here was definitely a journey, my cousin and I took a train from Cusco to Aguas Calientes which is the city at the bottom of the mountain where Machu Picchu sits atop of. The train ride itself was great with the staff onboard providing entertainment and historical background knowledge plus live music. Once we arrived at Aguas Calientes we met our tour guide then hopped on a bus to take us up to Machu Picchu. After about 20 minutes of going up some sketchy winding roads with no guard rails and a big drop off we finally made it to the entrance. An important piece of info I left out is my cousin is wheelchair bound and to continue up we have to climb stairs. So, the tour guide and I grabbed opposite sides of my cousin's wheelchair and carried him up the stairs. Finally at the top we got to see Machu Picchu and the view was other worldly to say the least. Anyways after about 30 minutes to an hour of being up there the fog started rolling in and I saw the perfect opportunity to take the amazing shot you are all getting to see now. Shortly after I got the shot it started raining and we made our decent back down. Again, me and the tour guide carrying my cousin in his wheelchair down the now super slippery stairs where I came close to falling and just about ate shit, lol, made it down safely. Definitely some good memories made that day.
